Care Ministry

The Deacons at Trinity Church serve as spiritual leaders that are responsible for the basic care of the physical and emotional needs of the body. The office of deacon as set forth in Scripture is one of sympathy, witness, and service after the example of Jesus Christ. It is the duty of deacons, first of all, to minister to those who are in need, to the sick, to the friendless, and to any who may be in distress giving preference to those in the body of Christ and second to those in the community at large.

we can help

Meals With Love

Meals or food brought to the home of a family that is experiencing having a new baby, or a family member that has a serious illness/recovering from injury or surgery/death of a family member (in hospital or at home) or other life event that would ease their list of things to worry about with already prepared food brought to them.

Bereavement and Funeral Support

Bereavement: Recipients are those who are lost a loved one- monitor the grieving person/s through the first year since the lost.

Funeral Support: Recipients are those who experience a loss of a loved one and needs assistance with funeral or memorial services.

Visits to encourage HOME- and HOSPITAL-BOUND PATIENTS

Persons who are under care at home, or in a facility such as a hospital, convalescent home, or residential care facility, and have little opportunity for church community interaction or encouragement may request/receive IN-HOME AND HOSPITAL VISITS.

Short Term Transportation

Persons that are temporarily unable to drive themselves to any appointments, market, church, bank, etc. due to injury, etc. or temporary lack of their own transportation.

Relief and Support for CARE-GIVERS

Persons giving long-term daily care to family members who require physical assistance or supervision due to circumstances such as extensive age-related limitations, serious illness, recovery from injury or surgery, or physical disability may request/receive CARE-GIVER RELIEF AND SUPPORT.

Home & Personal Property Repair Assistance

The purpose of this  service is to help those who do not have the resources to perform the repairs themselves or have them done professionally.  Help should be guided by common sense and the scope of repairs should be limited to what can be performed by non-professionals in a reasonable length of time without risk of injury.

Emergency Financial Assistance (Fellowship Fund)

The purpose of this fund is to help primarily members and attendees of Trinity when they find themselves in financial crisis typically brought on by job loss or an extraordinary expense.  The focus is short term help, usually one-time to assist with critical expenses such as car repair, rent due, food, and other similar needs.

Everyone can use a little encouragement.  This ministry tries to keep an eye out for those in our church congregation who may need a little extra encouraging.
