Our Leaders

The character and effectiveness of any church is directly related to the quality of its leadership. That's why the Bible stresses the importance of qualified church leadership.  The Bible also gives us a picture of a church that has multiple kinds of leaders with different gifts that serve in many different functions.  Though our Lead Pastor is an important leader at Trinity Church, he is only one among many gifted and called leaders.

staff

While the elders lead the church in areas of vision and overall direction, the staff oversees the day to day ministries of the church as well as the ministers of those ministries (the ministers are the people of the church). The staff is charged by elders to train, equip, and release the people into ministry.  They equip others to both lead and do the ministries of the church.  The staff is made up of both paid and unpaid leaders whose passion it is to see each individual fully realize that which God has called them to.

Youth Leaders

elders

An elder is an experienced leader, overseer, and shepherd of the local church.  While no specific age is given the elder should be a man of character who is mature, honest, experienced, and respected.  His duties include supervising the church in gentleness and love, as well as exercising spiritual authority in grace.  At the core an elder should have the heart attitude of love for the church and this leads him to tend, feed, guide, protect and care for Christ’s church.

Elders

deacons

Deacons at Trinity Church serve as spiritual leaders that are responsible for the basic care of the physical and emotional needs of the body. The office of deacon as set forth in Scripture is one of sympathy, witness, and service after the example of Jesus Christ. Persons of spiritual character, honest repute, of exemplary lives, brotherly and sisterly love, warm sympathies, and sound judgment should be chosen for this office. The charge of the apostles to the church in Jerusalem states it best in that deacons should be known to be “full of the Spirit and wisdom” (Acts 6:3).
