UPDATED JUNE 3, 2020
DEAR CHURCH FAMILY,
The Santa Clara County Health Department has updated the Shelter-In-Place Order which will take effect this Friday, June 5th. Though the order allows several new categories of businesses and activities to reopen, the overall Shelter-In-Place order will still be in effect. This order has no stated expiration date, and will remain in effect until the County Health Officer amends or rescinds it.
1) IN REGARDS TO SUNDAY MORNING SERVICE
We will continue to worship the Lord together ONLINE each Sunday at 10:00 am until further notice. Though the new order allows for religious services to meet, they are restricted to outdoors in groups of no more than 25. These restrictions make it impractical for us to meet live at this time.
2) IN REGARDS TO OUR OTHER MINISTRIES
For now the office will remain closed. All other ministries will continue to meet remotely utilizing online tools. You may notice that in June we won't have as much activity going on online. This is simply because we are preparing to begin to meet live, and we are also giving our staff some much needed time off as many of them have been working tirelessly for the last 80 days.
3) IN REGARDS TO MEETING LIVE AGAIN
Currently, our plan is to wait on the County Health Officer to let us know when we can begin to gather and what the appropriate guidelines for that gathering will be. Once the order is given, we believe we can begin meeting very shortly afterwards, as we are already working on a plan to meet the state guidelines. Though Santa Clara County may have a few more restrictions, we're expecting their guidelines to be very similar to the state's.
Once the restrictions are lifted, our plan is to have a live service the first Sunday with just volunteers. This way we can prepare a safe and effective experience for all. Then the second Sunday we will begin meeting with the church at large. We know that the Spirit will lead many of you to continue to worship from home, and as such, our plan is to continue the quality online service we have now.
4) IN REGARDS TO SUPPORTING YOUR CHURCH.
There are a few ways to support Trinity Church at this time.
Pray - We need God's wisdom as there is no road map for something like this. So please pray for wisdom for the church leaders. Second, we believe that God is using this time for His glory, and we are excited about the ministry opportunities. Please pray that we see and take advantage of the opportunities as they present themselves.
Encourage - Continue to reach out and encourage one another using the many technology resources available.
Give - Please continue to be faithful and partner with us as we seek to minister to you and those in need.
5) IN REGARDS TO QUESTIONS OR FEEDBACK
If you have any questions we have not addressed, please feel free to reach out to us. Email me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
