Icebreaker: What is your favorite thing about autumn?

 

Scripture:

Matthew 28:19 & 20 19"Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age."

Questions:

1.  Whenever we see a "therefore," we need to ask ourselves, "What is the therefore, there for?" So...

 

 

 

 

 

 

2. This is the last thing Matthew writes in his gospel. Throughout his book, Matthew's emphasis is on Jesus' teachings; these verses come on the heels of the famous Sermon on the Mount, and it is the last thing Matthew writes in his gospel.  Make a list of the instructions from Matt. 28:19 & 20 here:

 

 

 

 

 

 

3.  What must the disciples, and ultimately we, as followers of Christ, teach? What can we be sure of, and what difference does it make to know this?

 

 

 

 

 

4.    If you are a follower of Christ, you have what it takes to teach others to observe all that He has commanded. First, are you following His commands, and are you making disciples?  Talk about what that might look like in your life right now?  Ask some one to keep you accountable to this this week.
