Scripture

James 1:2-8

Observation

What do I Like about the Passage?
Trials and problems have a God ordained purpose in my life.

God promises wisdom to those who ask.

What do I find difficult?
Trials is how God perfects Our character, particularly endurance.

The bar or being double minded is low. The risk is great.

Without the promise of God giving us what we are deficient in we ac doomed to be tossed to and fro.

What does this say about God?
He uses all situations to shape us.

He doesn't promise that we won't have trials.

He does promise to provide what we lack.

What does this say about us?
We need God to fill our deficiencies.

Application

I need to look at trials as God working on my character.

Prayer

Lord,
Help me to see your hand in the trials as well as the good. Guard my heart from being double minded and help me to trust you in those areas I still hold myself. You promised WB don for those who ask, so I ask knowing you may bring trials to grant it.

Amen
