Parent Resources

Parent Resources

Here are resources to help you engage with your children about the key ideas your child learned on Sunday morning.

We hope these tools will enable you to keep the conversation going all week long and help you shepherd your child.

If you would like more information about any of these programs, please contact the Trinity Church office at (408) 739-6659 x108 or email ernie.morales@svtrinity.org.

Age Groups

Age Groups

On Sunday mornings, children take part in our Kids Zone, which has age-graded classes for kids from two years old through fifth grade during the 9:00am service, and a kid’s church program at the 11:00am service.

For children younger than two years old, we have a caring nursery.

We also have special events for children and their families throughout the year!

What To Expect

What to Expect

  1. A loving environment: At Trinity, we want kids to know how much God loves them by the way we love them. Our teachers and helpers are excited to invest in the lives of children.
  2. A place where kids thrive:

We want children at Trinity to have fun and be engaged while discovering the truths of God’s word.

Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven." -Matthew 19:14

Our hope for children at Trinity is that they:

    • Know how much Jesus loves them and wants a relationship with them.
    • Grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ and develop an excitement to follow Him.
    • Go in service to love one another and love their neighbor.

  3. A partnership with you: We want to equip you to be the primary leader in the spiritual growth of your children. Wherever possible, we try to provide tools for parents that will help you disciple your children and help them to look more like Jesus.
  4. A safe environment: We have a check-in system to ensure every child’s safety. And all teachers and volunteers are screened through an application process.

Nursery Program

Nursery Program

We consider it a privilege to minister to the youngest members of our Trinity family. Our goal is to provide them a safe, happy, and inviting atmosphere. For more information, please contact Trinity's Early Childhood Director, Erin Reilly at erin.reilly@svtrinity.org

Nursing mothers are always welcome to the nursery; we have a nursing mother's room that provides a quiet place where you and your child can enjoy privacy.

Age

Our nursery program is designed for children ages 6 weeks to 2-1/2 years. Children 6 weeks to 1 year are cared cared for on the infant/crawling side of the nursery, while children ages 1 to 2-1/2 years are cared for in the main nursery. Both areas have age-appropriate toys and books. The older children on the main side of the nursery will also participate in a music and activity time during the service.

Nursery Hours

The nursery is staffed for the Sunday morning services at 9:00 A.M. and 11:00 A.M. Nursery care is also provided at selected special church events.

Nursery Check-In Procedures and Security

Each parent bringing a child to the nursery for the first time will complete a registration sheet for our records.

To make sure your child is safe, parents are asked to sign their children in when dropping them off and sign them out at pick-up.

At sign-in, parents will be assigned a pager and given one part of a two-part tag with that pager number. If we need to contact you about your child, your pager will vibrate for 30 seconds.

For the two-part tag, one tag is placed on the child's diaper bag, and one tag is given to you. This second tag and the pager will be needed in order to pick up your child. There are also name tags that are placed on your child to identify who he or she is to the workers.

To ensure that children are not released to any unauthorized persons, no child will be released to anyone but a parent with the proper ID tag and pager.
