". . . Permit the children to come to Me;
do not hinder them;
for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these."
Mark 10:14

Vision for Children's Ministries

At Trinity we desire that all children:

  • KNOW Jesus Christ as Savior
  • GROW in their relationship with Jesus Christ
  • GO in service to our Lord

Through every event and program we offer, we seek to include a balance of these components to assist you in the spiritual training of your children!

Sunday School

"Sonshine Company" is the name of our Sunday school program. We offer classes for children from 2-1/2 years old through fifth grade during the 9:00 a.m. service. We have designed this program to be an exciting time for all children to learn about God in a safe and caring environment.

The children enter the classroon area at 9:00 a.m. Then they go to individual age-appropriate classes until 10:15.

SPECIAL ACTIIVITY: starting March 30, from 9:00 to 9:30 a.m., Tracey McNeely will lead a six-Sunday course teaching the children worship songs to the Lord and special songs for their mothers. The children will sing in "big church" on Mothers' Day.

Curriculum for Sunday School

"We will tell the next generation the praiseworthy deeds of the Lord, His power and the wonders He has done… so the next generation would know them, even the children yet to be born, and the in turn would tell their children. Then they would put their trust in God and would not forget His deeds but would keep His commands."
— Psalm 78:4b-7

Currently, we are primarily using teaching materials from Gospel Light for all of our pre-school and early elementary aged children. Gospel Light takes children through the Bible four times by the time they leave Grade 6. The teaching resources are solidly based on God's Word. For more information go to the www.gospellight.com website.

Child Protection at Trinity
  • Parents with a child in the Sparklers class (two and three-year-olds), will be given an identification tag. To ensure the safety of the child, only the parent may pick up the child, and this tag must be returned when the child is picked up. This system is designed to make sure your child cannot leave with the wrong person; we appreciate your cooperation with us to keep all of our kids safe.

  • Also, for each child you bring to the Sparklers class, you will receive a pager. If your child needs you during the service, you will be paged so that you can come attend to your child.

  • All children age 4 through fifth grade must be picked up by a parent (not a sibling) after service. Please pick up your children promptly after the service.

  • We also have a teacher and a volunteer in every classroom to ensure the safety of each child.

If you have any questions, please contact Diane Lyall, Director of Children's Ministries, at the Trinity Church office at (408) 739-6659. We all look forward to the privilege of helping your children become more like our Savior, Jesus Christ.
