Why Are We Here?

Core Belief/Value Statements

We believe:

• The one true God reveals Himself as heavenly Father, Jesus Christ and Holy Spirit. Therefore through the Holy Spirit we will worship God and follow Jesus as Lord.
• God the Father is loving and just, seeking a relationship with every person. Therefore by faith we will enter into a relationship with God, grow in that relationship and share His love with others.
• Jesus, the Son of God, came to earth to reconcile us to God through His death and resurrection. Therefore with thanksgiving we will receive God’s forgiveness for our sins and invite others to accept the saving grace of Jesus.
• The Holy Spirit lives inside all believers in Christ, teaching truth and empowering us for God’s eternal purposes. Therefore we will rely upon the wisdom, leading and power of the Holy Spirit to accomplish God’s work.
• The Bible is God’s living word, given by God to reveal Himself, His truth and His plan for us. Therefore we will acknowledge its authority and strive to understand, to retain, and to live out its truth.
• The church is the body of believers united in local communities to reveal Christ to the world. Therefore together we will love and serve others, equip believers for ministry, and share the Good News of Christ.
• Worship is intentionally responding to God, acknowledging His worth and giving our selves to Him. Therefore we will purposefully create opportunities to experience God and encourage one another to celebrate Him.
• Prayer is spiritually communicating with God, expressing our dependence upon Him and enabling us to fully experience Him. Therefore we will establish and teach a pattern of praying in the Spirit on all occasions.
