How strong is your faith? This chapter gives example after example of Jesus healing those who believed, but also those who in some cases were outcasts - untouchables... not with the mainstream society. He healed the sickness, the dead, mute, lame and blind - His disciples didn't know if He could heal, and in some cases it seemed like they questioned the worthiness - but the people believed Jesus was Lord and believed He could heal them. Jesus says because of your faith you are healed... he cautioned those he healed and told them not tell others about what he had done but he tells us to go and make disciples. In making disciples we tell others what Jesus has done for us. Maybe he has healed us physically, but most of us can point to Him and explain how He has healed our hearts. So if we have seen him heal others, he has healed us, we read it in the word.. why do we still doubt and believe in our own power? We are worthy of his healing and to receive his power! This passage is also a reminder that Jesus when to great lengths and to all people to teach them. Jesus reminds us that it's not the healthy that need a Dr. but it's the sick. We are all are sick - Jesus can heal us!
Love and reach all for Jesus.. believe he can do great things... it's not us... it's the Lord almighty... lets get our perspective right.
Lord show me what you see.... allow me to have faith like these sick and lame... so I can see Gods work - to God to the glory for what he will and is doing in my life, Lord use me as your vessel. May I keep my perspective right and my love for others focused as Jesus sees others. AMEN!
