2 Corinthians 6

2 Corinthians 6

· Marks of Ministry

· Being Holy

It seems clear to me that when God’s grace is given to us to be in ministry or to minister to others there is a standard to how we act so we are not blamed. We are always ‘on’ no matter the situation to extend that grace. Within the standard of ministry there is a call for the individual to be holy or set apart and to look different from the culture or modern practices around us that we are called to minister to.

Father God, I ask that as you pour out your grace to minister to others that you would continue to make me holy. May I be what you’ve created me to be to reach those in need of your salvation. Keep reminding me of my attitude and them I am a reflection of You! Amen!

Amen... Father, fill us with your Spirit so that we may become all things to all people so that by all possible means we may see people come to know you yet may we also deny ourselves of our "rights" and "freedoms" so that we do not cause the weak to stumble. Father, I struggle with this tension and ask your discernment to be separate and set apart without disengaging from the world around me. Father, make us your salt and light where we live, work, learn and play today and this weekend. In Jesus name.
